A unique
skill of a Licensed Psychologist is their extensive
education and training in human measurement. During the
course of my university studies I was required to take
many courses in statistics, human factors, individual
differences, and research methodology. My doctoral
dissertation involved understanding how a sample of high
school students (total number = 427) were "buffered" by
social support in the wake of their parents being
affected by the closing of a major company plant in a
small town in Indiana.

While the most important
assessment tool I have is myself the use of the above
instruments enable me to gain a reference of how you
compare to others on the various measures of
intelligence and personality. Gauging the treatment
effects in counseling by having you complete testing
early in the process and then repeat at a later time is
helpful.
Insurance carriers are likely
to have restrictions governing the use of psychological
